ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
Since 2013, I've worked behind the scenes in our community. I served as a Southern Maryland liaison for U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski and then for Senator Ben Cardin. Ensuring that the needs of Southern Maryland and Prince George's residents were met on the federal level. I had the opportunity to help communities across the region on various projects.
from stopping encroachment from wind turbines to protect the mission of NAVAIR Patuxent River, to advocating for Cove Point resident's voices to be heard and following up with Dominion Energy on safety protocols during the Dominion Cove Point Expansion, I've been there. Standing with municipal leaders as they seek funding for local jurisdictions, fighting against the MAGLEV in prince George's, I've been there. Supporting nonprofits as they seek to feed the hungry, protect the chesapeake bay, I've been there.
When Calvert and Prince George's lost Senator Mike Miller in January 2021, I knew that Calvert and Prince George's would need a continued advocate and champion for it's issues, concerns, and needs. It was time to put my experience to work.
On February 18, 2021 I was sworn into the House of Delegates, having received the appointment from Governor Larry Hogan to serve the remainder of former Delegate Mike Jackson's term. I was ready to take on the challenge of representing District 27B, continuing my advocacy for the region. This time, I'm using my background and experience, but speaking with my own voice.
